In the context of preparing Latvia's fiscal sustainability report, the Fiscal discipline council is organising a discussion on Latvia's revenue and expenditure policy. Experts from several areas will analyse the role of the public sector in relation to economic growth and social welfare. The aim of the event is to discuss the provision of public services in a fiscally sustainable manner, in view of the government's tax-to-GDP target of 1/3 and Latvia's membership in the European Union.
