In accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2024/1263 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2024, in particular Articles 13, 22 and 23, which set out the framework for fiscal surveillance and the mechanism for monitoring deviations from the trajectory of net nationally financed primary expenditure, the Fiscal Discipline Council has prepared and published an Interim Surveillance Report on the 2026 Progress Report of Latvia’s Fiscal Structural Plan for 2025–2028.
The Council’s surveillance report provides an assessment of compliance with fiscal commitments and rules, as well as an evaluation of the updated macroeconomic forecasts and recent budgetary developments.
