On 5 March 2026, the Saeima appointed Inta Vasaraudze as a member of the Fiscal Discipline Council for a six-year term, while Andrejs Jakobsons was reappointed for a further six-year term.
Inta Vasaraudze is an economist with extensive experience in public administration in the field of macroeconomic analysis. She also has significant international experience, representing Latvia in institutions of the European Union and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Andrejs Jakobsons is an economist and a lecturer at the Riga Business School of Riga Technical University, with extensive experience in economic analysis, academic work and international research projects. Andrejs Jakobsons has been a member of the Fiscal Discipline Council since 2020.
